The Sri Lanka government`s National Gem and Jewelry Authority has launched a website with the aim of helping local jewelers to market their wares via the Internet.

The website, www.srilankagemautho.com, will enable Sri Lanka jewelers to display their products and prices on the web. Buyers will be able to place orders for displayed products and make enquiries about additional items. The government will issue warranty certificates for the acquisitions.
